What I get to see everyday before I leave for work!

Watching our little Angel grow so fast has been a great experience. But that experience for me has officially been put on hold for the third time this month. Kate and Grace are spending all of this week down the shore. I unfortunately have to work, all week. Something about us having bills to pay. I will return down to the shore Friday after work. But all toll I will go a full 5 days without seeing my wife and baby. And what’s my wife’s feeling about this, “Marc, it’s the summer, I’m supposed to be down here. It’s what I do”. For all of Kate’s whining about how little she gets to go down the shore she will have been down there for a total of 22 of the 31 days in July. Hopefully she’ll be a little less selfish in August and she’ll stay home a little more often. But I might just be dreaming.

On a lighter note Grace is doing GREAT!!!! Last week we had a few rough nights where she didn’t sleep particularly well but the past two night have been good. Last night was arguable her best night. On her 6 week birthday she slept from 10pm until 5:30am. The night before we laid her down awake and she fell asleep on her own. Something she’s struggled to do like most newborns apparently do.

After yesterday's check I am happy to report that all is well with our little Gracie girl. She measured a solid 22 inches which put her in the 75 percentile range for a one month old. And she weighed in at 8 lbs, 8 ozs which is a 1 lb, 2 oz gain from the two week check-up. Her weight fell in at around the 50 percentile range for her age. So needless to say there was one happy momma and one happy poppa at the doctor's office yesterday. Kate has been forever worried that she's not gaining enough weight so this eases her mind and reduces her worry level.

One out of two ain't bad! I correctly guessed the height and was a mere 4 ozs off on my guesses on yesterday's post. And I'll assume the guesses will only get harder the bigger she gets. Oh well.

It’s hard to believe but it’s already been a month since our little angel entered into this big world. I have estimated that her picture has been taken over 14,000 times in that month. And I’m not exaggerating. Today she has a doctor’s appointment for her monthly checkup and I’m really interested to see how big she has gotten. She looks a couple inches longer then when we brought her home but I think that’s impossible.

I hope everyone is enjoying all of the pictures that have been posted. We’ll try our best to keep it frequently updated. Maybe that’s a job I can transfer over to my lovely wife permanently. I’ll update tomorrow after the big weigh in today on her new dimensions. I’m guessing she’s 22 inches and 8 lbs and 4oz.
